KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

I joined the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) in 2014 and became executive director in 2017. In this role, I set the vision and led the academic staff. From 1 July 2020, I served as interim Dean, and on 1 April 2022, I began my 5-year tenure as Dean. I am proud of our triple crown accreditation and our progress as an impactful business school.

As a full professor, I focus on corporate strategy and governance, researching the relationship between trust and accountability in management. I teach various academic and executive programs, including the Global Executive Development Programme and the Harvard Senior Executive Leadership Programme Africa.

Beyond GIBS, I have over 34 years of experience in business, with 25 years in top management and board roles across banks, insurance companies, asset management firms, state-owned entities, and in local and global regulatory bodies.
