Matthew is a CFA® Charterholder passionate about using data to boost economies and facilitate strategic deals. At ShopriteX, the digital innovation hub for Africa’s largest grocery retailer, he is the Head of Data Ecosystems which utilises the rich dataset of the Shoprite Group for financial inclusion, health accessibility and economic insights.

Previously, he led data analytics at Rand Merchant Bank and worked in Infrastructure Finance.

Matthew has also held leadership roles in advisory and tech firms and is a startup investor.
